Learn, Connect, and Grow: Join VCTA events and take your teaching to the next Level!

VCTA believes that great teaching comes from inspiration, practical strategies, and hands-on experiences. From expert-led workshops to interactive webinars, our sessions focus on curriculum updates, innovative teaching approaches, and exam preparation insights, helping teachers transform complex topics into engaging, real-world lessons.

We also celebrate student engagement in commerce through events like the Plan Your Own Enterprise (PYOE) competition, delivered by Business Educators Australasia (BEA). This exciting program gives students the chance to develop, plan, and pitch their own business ideas.

FAQ's

I missed out on an event, will you run it again?

Yes, many VCTA events are repeated each year, and if they are not similar events run.

I can't go to everything because my school budget is limited is there another option for me?

Whilst we love to have you attend all our events, the staff at VCTA know that budgets are tight in many workplaces. If this is your situation call us directly and if it is possible at all, we will still provide you with session notes at a set price. Please note, not all professional learning opportunities allow us to distribute notes.  This is particularly true if it is a workshop style event.

Do you have an annual conference?

Yes, our major conference event is Comview and it is held towards the end of November each year. If you can only attend one in-person event each year, this is the one to be seen at!  It goes for two days and is full of lectures, workshops and hands-on sessions.  Information about Comview is released every September.

I live near the Victorian state border, can I go to other state conferences too?

You certainly can but you will need to pay full price unless you are a member of that state association.  However, once every two years (2026, 2028, 2030 and so on), there is a national conference held through Business Educators Australasia (BEA) and it brings together most states and territories.  VCTA is an affiliate of BEA, and a part of your VCTA membership allows you to attend the national conference at low rates.
