The Board of Directors

A message from the President: Michael Hill

I am honoured to serve as President of the VCTA for the next three years (2012 - 2015). I will endeavour to continue the standard of excellent in leadership set by my predecessors in this role. I look forward to working with the newly elected Board of Directors and together meeting the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Tony Kuc as the outgoing President for his outstanding contribution to the association in his three year term. In particular I acknowledge his efforts in continuing to build its financial strength and further developing its presence as a leader in teacher professional development.

My intentions as President are firstly, to continue the expansion of our ‘on-line’ professional learning delivery initiatives and in so doing improve service to our members. Secondly, my hope is to optimise the opportunities that will present to our association with the introduction of the Australian Curriculum. Finally, I wish to continue the implementation of our current Strategic Plan and its update as appropriate in the coming years.

I would like to conclude by encouraging all members to become actively involved with our association. I am continually amazed at the creativity, generosity, skill and knowledge of our members. Please contribute in whatever ways you can so that we may all 'teach better' and hence ultimately enhance the learning of our students.
