A message from the President Tony Kuc

There is nothing more stimulating as an educator than direct involvement in one's field of specialisation and we welcome members to the pre-eminent business studies/commerce education subject association in Australasia – the Victorian Commercial Teachers Association.

Professional engagement, motivation and a strong spirit of collegiality are the foremost benefits of direct involvement. I encourage all educators of financial, economic, business and legal education to 'become involved' in VCTA. There are many avenues – as a contributor to our resource Compak, as a member of a short-term 'task force', as a board member, a contributor to online forums, a presenter at the annual Comview Conference or any other professional learning activity, or even as an author.

About the President

Tony Kuc's experience has bridged not only the Catholic, non Catholic, Independent and Government sectors of education, but also through leadership positions in both Victoria and South Australia.

Tony first joined VCTA as a student teacher and has been an individual member continuously since 1976. In 1997 he was awarded life membership for his services to VCTA – as a past secondary teacher, board member, executive and committees membership, for his contributions to the VCTA resource Compak and involvement in curriculum development in the areas of (what was then called) middle school commerce and Legal Studies.
