Two free new resources from Consumer Stuff!: Responsible Gambling and DVD Consuming Clips
Consumer Affairs Victoria advise that almost 80% of adult Victorians report that they gamble at least once a year.. For most, this is entertainment and does not cause distress. However for others, gambling becomes problematic.
Building reslilience in young people so they can make informed and responsible decisions about whether to gamble or not is an important objective of the new resources Responsible Gambling: building resilience for young learners. The resource is free.
Another new free resource by Consumer Affiars Victoria is a DVD Consuming Clips, containing eight film clips about reponsible gambling, loans, buying a car, mobile phone contracts, renting a shared house, internet fraud, credit cards and more. It also has a Teachers' Guide.
