The CPA Australia Plan Your Own Enterprise Competition 2013
Bring out the creativity in your students and build their entrepreneurial skills through the CPA Australia Plan Your Own Enterprise Competition. Brochures/entry forms were posted to schools in March 2013.
Entries close Wednesday 28 August 2013.
Teachers are requested to submit all student entries (not just the best ones) as all students receive a certificate for their folios.

About the Competition
The CPA Australia Plan Your Own Enterprise competition encourages secondary school students to apply their business education to a real-life scenario.
Participants are asked to devise a creative enterprise idea and submit a 3000 word business plan, explaining how their great idea could become a profitable business.
For teachers, the competition is a valuable tool to enhance the business education curriculum. For students, it helps to build valuable work and life skills including:
- organisation and planning
- innovation
- decision-making
- research and communication
- prioritisation and collaboration
- reflection and action.
The competition is open to all full-time students enrolled in a registered secondary school in Australia or New Zealand. There are two divisions with fantastic prizes up for grabs.
Competition dates and prizes
The Victorian Division 1 finalists interviews: Wednesday 11 September 2013 between 2.00 to 4.00pm at CPA Australia, Level 20, 28 Freshwater Place, Southbank
The Victorian Division 1 and 2 Award ceremony: this will be combined with the national award ceremony on Wednesday 16 October at CPA Australia, Level 20, 28 Freshwater Place, Southbank
Victorian state Division 1: winner goes on to the national final on Wednesday 16 October 5.30 to 6.30pm (time to be confrimed) at CPA Australia, Level 20, 28 Freshwater Place, Southbank, Melbourne
Prizes
Division 1 solo student entry national winner wins $2,500 courtesy of CPA Australia! Plus the school wins prizes.
Division 2 team student entry national winner wins $1,000 courtesy of CPA Australia! Plus the school wins prizes.
Victorian state cash prizes are also provided to Division Victorian Division 1 and 2 finalists.
