About the CPA Australia Plan Your Own Enterprise Competition

Now open for entries for 2010!

Secondary school students can gain an in-depth appreciation of the business world and its operations through the CPA Australia Plan Your Own Enterprise (PYOE) competition.

The competition requires students to submit a business plan of up to 3000 words with their creative idea for a small business.

You can view further details for 2010 by viewing the brochure here. Note; there is no Division Three in 2010.

Like some hints?

  • Bigger isn't better; small business concepts are preferable
  • Keep it simple; don't get lost in the details; it's an overview!
  • Be clear and concise

Prizes are awarded on a national level as well as State level. Details about the national competition can be found on CPA Australia's website.

Things for teachers to note
It is evident that students put an extensive amount of work into their business plans and in 2009 the judges commended all entrants and their teachers. The entries which stood out were those that addressed all competition criteria.

Thank you
