Note: this program is a review of assessment undertaken in 2011 and is designed to assist with teaching and learning in 2012. As such, it is not a focus on exam formats and the like in the newly accredited study design for 2012-16.

Setting School-assessed Coursework is the responsibility of the teacher who must ensure tasks meet the requirements of the newly accredited Accounting study design 2012-16. This timely session reviews the design and marking of SACs in 2011 and provides participants with clear and specific advice for 2012.

Reviewing student performance in the 2011 Unit 3 exam

With the new year underway and a mid-year exam around the corner, now is the time to review student performance on the Unit 3, 2011 exam. Neville will outline how students responded to the paper, identify questions they found difficult including mistakes commonly made, and discuss steps teachers might take in preparing students during 2012. Note: this session is not a focus on new exam formats and the like for 2012-16.
