In Areas of Study 1 and 2 in VCE Economics Unit 4, students examine the ways in which macroeconomic aggregate demand and aggregate supply policies are used to achieve the federal government’s key economic goals. This article focuses on the role of budgetary policy in managing the level of aggregate demand and how some of the new initiatives announced in this year’s federal Budget will affect aggregate supply.
