Term 3 is the time to consolidate student learning in Accounting in preparation for the final exam. We hope your students performed well in the Unit 3 exam and we wish them well in anticipation of their results. This edition of Compak includes an ICT-based assessment task for Outcome 2 in Unit 4 focusing on budgeting for cash and financial performance using Excel. The task meets 20 of the 30 marks that must be allocated to ICT-based assessment in Unit 4. Solutions are provided. Also included is a set of tasks (with solutions) on balance day adjustments for Area of Study 1 in Unit 2.

New Accounting Study Design: Seeking your response
The draft of the 2012 VCE Accounting Study Design will soon be made available by VCAA. VCTA invites you to be part of the VCTA focus group to make a formal response to VCAA. This involves one meeting only after school at the VCTA office in Collingwood on Thursday 12 August at 5.00 to 7.00pm. If you can’t be there in person maybe you’d like to join VCTA via teleconference. Email your interest to the VCTA Executive Officer, Leonie Swarbrick.
