Newly online for 2010, Compak is now available for full viewing and download.
The new Compak
- contains classroom activities and articles in a variety of file format (Word, Powerpoint, Excel, PDF, Podcasts)
- has the same great quality to which you are accustomed
- means no more searching for that elusive article or Issue; Compak has a search function to make your life easier
- won't leave you hunting online for a Compak Supplement
- can no longer be left on someone's desk!
- has eight Issues per year (except for Pathways. Issue sizes vary)
- has Issues available just when you need them e.g first Issue available day 1, term 1 so no waiting for weeks
- continues with the the September VCE Units 3 and 4 exam Issue plus we're including exams for VCE Units 1 and 2 in Accounting, BM, Economics and Legal Studies
- includes timelines for VCE Units 1 to 4 in Accounting, BM, Economics and Legal Studies, and for Units 3 and 4 I&E
- offers the advantages an online environment brings compared to a hard copy journal.
Note: VCTA's online resource Classroom is not continuing in 2010. We have transferred some key Classroom components, such as VCE unit timelines, Unti 2 exams etc, to the new Compak. Classroom pre-2010 is still available for members on our old website until the end of 2010. For access click here (make sure you are logged in now and you will have to login again to the old website).

Featured articles
From time to time, Compak includes a feature article focusing on a significant issue, trend or development affecting business education.
Section focus
Compak consists of six subject-based sections:
- VCE Accounting
- VCE Business Management
- VCE Economics
- Essential Learning: Years 7 – 10 comprising civics and citizenship education and economics (including financial literacy, consumer education and work education)
- VCE Legal Studies
- Pathways comprising Industry and Enterprise, VET Business and other work-related information.
Contributions
Contributions to Compak are always welcome as the quality of Compak is largely dependent on the editor and section editors receiving a range of contributions.
Articles can vary but are usually classroom focused i.e. ideas and activities for use in the classroom or articles providing members with updates in their subject discipline (e.g. a change in the law, economic policy etc). If you have any ideas for articles, or would like to contribute an article, please email VCTA.

From 2010 Compak is online with a total of eight issues each year (an average of two per term; four large, four smaller).

The Exam Issue continues for VCE Units 3 and 4 in Accounting, Business Management, Economics, Industry and Enterprise, and Legal Studies. In addition, there is a Unit 1 and Unit 2 practice exam in Accounting, Business Management, Economics and Legal Studies.
